Kickin´ Wookies hatched out of a large golden egg. We drink beers (especially the coveted Pumpkin Ales!)
We use guitars, drums, basses, cords, chords, mics, amps, and pedals all for your listening enjoyment! Actually, we formed about
3 years ago after each of us was tired of being in bands (funny). Korte & Trent began jamming with a drum machine and begat
the coveted , patented Wookie sound...the thunk bass...the soda-straw guitar sound...songs with dubious titles such as: Backdoor
Betty, Jackbooted Government Thugs, Reggie Jackson, Nothing as Lame as Me, Down & Out...all this rolled into a magical
ball of happy & sad music...warm & atonal sounds. Korte began in a band called Almost Nothing. Trent and Korte met
whilst playing in a band called Copper. They hooked up and began jamming in the semi-legendary Coolband warehouse on Milam
St. There they witnessed actual real-life episodes of Jerry Springer going on right across the street and wrote lovely music. I also
might mention that quite a bit of Old Fezziweg & Cranberry Lambic were consumed...every beer was opened on the "sacred
nail."
