Whiskey Rebellion
Whiskey Rebellion is all about 5 people that love to play music and entertain the people who love music and who want to have a good time with new and old friends. Excitement can be found anytime the group gets together.
Ross Prokop(Lead Vocals)born in Lubbock,TX, grew up on the very eastern border of New Mexico and began singing at an early age. Ross played the piano for three years as a youngster where he met Joe Nash at the age of three. After many performances at talent shows and even performing at his own graduation with his longtime friend Joe Nash he began to take his singing more seriously. Whether it be singing randomly at a livestock show in front of the pens, at a random party, or at a specific event he has always enjoyed the feeling of performing in front of people, hearing them sing along to their favorite songs, and will do so every chance he gets. Josh Gillis(Rythym and Backup Vocals) grew up in Elliot, TX listening to country and classic rock. He has been singing since he could talk and his mother could never get him to shut up. He took piano lessons as a kid and sang in the school and church choir, music has always been somwhat of an escape for him. In the summer of 2004 he was diggin through a closet and found his dads guitar and banjo. After playing around with the two he decided he would learn guitar instead of playing the drum with strings and has been playing music non-stop since. "If you aint waisted, the day is!!!" Ernie Martinez(Bass, Backup Vocals and sound man) has been playing a long time. Living a sheltered life as a kid and listening to classical music he quickly became musically inclined. Ernie has displayed His ability to adapt to any music style as he has played for many local bands and his sound engineering abilities make him an important asset to the band.
Troy Tebeest(Drums and Percussion) began playing drums at the age of 8. He received his beginning from his church drummer who decided to teach both him and his brother. Troy quickly surpassed his brother and has been drumming ever since. His influences growing up included some country, punk rock and ska. His talents add a unique touch to the bands sound.
Joe Nash(Lead Guitar) grew up listening to mostly country music and has always been interested in playing. After years of playing the piano he finally picked up a guitar and has never put it down. Whether entertaining others or himself he enjoys being around other musicians.
Because of the band members different styles of music a unique sound is created even when covering songs. Whiskey Rebellion would like to extend our gratitude to everybody that has supported them. The thanks are too many to list.
