Chevelle - Finger Eleven - God or Julie

Midnight Rodeo  April 1, 2008

First off I would have to give a big "Hell Yeah" to Midnight Rodeo for bringing such Artist to Amarillo,  the staff, and Managment are awsome. This is my First review for Project Amarillo, and I am honored to be the one to do it.

God or Julie:

Starting off with a Band from New York, by the name of "God or Julie", Jon, Adam,Matt, and Aaron are remarkable.  With their CD intitled "This Road Before", puts out alot of energy, along with the live preformance.  The great music, along with the stage show from the guys blew me away. And I can say Amarillo, took them right in. This is one band that is worth seeing many times.

T-Bone's Pick off the Cd: "Say your last goodbye"

FINGER ELEVEN:

CD: Them vs. You vs. Me

I can say changed my thoughts of them. I had never had the chance to see them live, till now. And you sometimes do not know what to expect the first time you see a band that you know you like when you hear them on the Radio. But to see them live, and to be even better live is what you want to expect. And that is what they do. Myself I didn't get to chat with them as I would have liked to, but I did get to speak with the lead singer for a sec or two "Scott" was a pleasure to talk to. Down to earth and not your typical singer attitude. For me the set was to short, would have loved to hear more of them, but for what they did and the time they had it was packed and awsome.  The whole set was powerful, with the ending of course was "Paralyzer", that was a great way of ending their night. Thanks goes out to them for a great Show. Current Album: "Them vs You vs Me".

T-Bone's pick off Cd : "I'll Keep your Memory Vague"

Finger Eleven websites: For Tour dates, Merch, ect

Chevelle:

PETE LOEFFLER - GUITAR, VOCALS - DEAN BERNARDINI - BASS
SAM LOEFFLER - DRUMS

Latest CD:Vena Sera
Release Date:  April 03, 2007

This made for the Perfect End to a Perfect Concert. Starting the night with "Family System", was a super start for the Amarillo Crowd.  Pete's Vocals were something that you can always expect. Full of energy, and emotion, along with the Guitar that he puts into the whole mix, matching with the Dynamic Mass from Dean, and not to mention the in the pocket Drums from Sam, you or anyone else could not ask for more from this 3 piece Band.
Not to mention throwing in the first hit, "The Red", closing you eyes was like listening to the Cd its self. Watching the crowd, looking around, seeing not just to mention the Youth of today, but seeing the range of ages thru the whole Club, reminded me that you are never to old to appreciate the talents of great singer and song writers. To me and talking to the crowd, this by far was one of the Best shows to come thru Amarillo, and that shows who "Chevelle's" true fans are. To end the night with "I Get It" rounded out everything. As the amps were turned off, the bands, talking to the fans, signing, taking pictures, reminded me that not all artist forget where they started. And for that, that is what true not only "Rock and Roll", but what "Music" is all about.

T-Bone's Cd pick :"Get Some", and "Vitamin R"

Chevelle's websites: Tour dates, Mech, forums , ect

Again, a big thanks to everyone @ Midnight Rodeo, staff, security, and Managment for everything, and bringing the Hottest bands to Amarillo, also, the bands, "God or Julie", "Finger Eleven" and "Chevelle".

Peace out........................   T-BONE
