Roundup

Amarillo has enjoyed a rich history of live music and it seems to get better all the time. You can help us get the word out about Amarillo's growing live music scene by telling us about your favorite performers in the area and if they have a web site we can link to. Send an Email with your comments or questions.
Amarillo musicians are encouraged to send us info about your upcoming gigs so we can add them to the Entertainment Calendar. We would also like to hear about any CD's you have for sale.

Amarillo Music News

It's official- Is This The Way To Amarillo? tops the UK pop charts.
Amarillo is a big deal on the other side of the Atlantic. See more on this story in Music Notes.
You can watch the Music Video Clip that was #1 in the UK for six weeks beginning in March 2005.
The current music news we have been carrying in this section has moved
to a new news department in the Golden Spread News called Music Notes. This will allow readers with a regional music interest to read about what is going on in the music scene in Amarillo and around the region too.
In the new section you will find music news from Copperhead and the West
Texas Bluegrass Association.

We have starting working more closely with businesses in Amarillo that
support live entertainment. As a result, we now have an entertainment calendar
that is much more useful than the info we were getting from the entertainers.
Not all of Amarillo's live entertainment venues are listed yet but we are
still working on it. Please let the businesses listed in the calendar know
that you saw the listing on CaptiveImage.us.

Jeff and Gabe of Copperhead have been doing an acoustic duet at the Whiskey
River on Tuesday nights and they turned out to not be shy, even when the
Panhandle cam was stuck in their faces. One of their numbers has been added
to the Gallery of Bands.
The following Friday we caught up with the whole band at the Midnight Rodeo
and recorded some more of this entertaining group's obvious talent. You
can get to that video on this page.
Look for more clips from Copperhead in the coming weeks to be added to
the Gallery of Bands.
Three video clips have been added featuring the Amarillo Khiva Shriners
Swing Kings when they performed at the Tri-State Fair. See Gallery of Bands.
Some artists have more than one video clip available. A complete listing
of video clips can be found in the Gallery of Music listed under Bands or Solos.
The photos on these pages are linked to a low resolution Internet video
of the artists shown, so click away and enjoy some of the live music entertainment
to be found in Amarillo.
