There were a few bugs after a recent update to Project Amarillo. Last night a new version was installed and it fixed the bugs with image uploading and calendar submission.
If you have been trying to upload a photo(s) to your profile, or submitting an event to the calendar, these are now working again.

Comments on Calendar

We added something new to the calendar. When viewing an event you may now add your own comments!!

On Thur, Jan 21st we added a new list of latest calendar comments just inder the latest article comments in the left column.

Calendar Info

We have recently filled the calendar up with dates for the next several months. And also due to demand, we have added more sports and karaoke to the list as well. But, if you are looking for more specific information, you can click on a bar/club/venue name on the calendar page to display concerts or events that are only coming to that location. If you are looking for just music or sports, you can click on a category(type) and see only those coming concerts or events.

Soon, we are adding a new search to the website, that will help in searching for specific bands, teams, etc... as well as other pages and articles on ProjectAmarillo.com. If you have any questions or problems, please feel to contact us!

Yeah it's a bit ugly! Print E-mail

Hey guys,

I know the site's in a mess right now and things look odd here and there. Well, I've had a few major events in my personal life lately and had to limit my time online to nothing much at all. I'll be getting back to ProjectAmarillo.com and finish up what I've started. The new orange/red/black color scheme will be going everywhere so get used to it, and expect more of it!
I'm working on something new for the band index page and the venues index page, so they are being left alone and ugly right now. The forum may or may not get updated, since it's a little slow on new posts. It's not dead getting about 1000 hits a day just itself, but nothing new going up keeps me from making it the layout priority.
I'm working on a few other new things as well, so check back and see what's going on!

Thanks,
Jeff

New Changes Print E-mail

If you haven't noticed yet, Project Amarillo is changing. We have a new logo, new colors, and a new animated display on the home page. The logo is now clickable, taking you back to the home page. The new animated slideshow has links to articles and other websites, depending on what's there. These will be changed regularly and we will be adding a lot more to them than just the current two. There is still a lot of work to be done.
Lots of the site already has this new look, but some areas such as the bands page and forum are still using the old layout, but will get an update soon too.
The homepage is far from done. The ugly green menu up top will be replaced with something new. New spots will appear on the home page with links to specific areas of ProjectAmarillo.com.

Let us know what you think, add a comment with your opinions on the new look. And if you don't like, tell us, so we know what you want and make the changes you are wanting!

Local Venues Print E-mail

Yeah, yeah we know that the venues list changes due to the fact that they disappear when there isn't an upcoming event there. Well we are going to change that soon. We are getting the info together and working on a new venues listing to replace the current one. Yes the calendar dates will still show up on the pages, but we want to gather more info and pictures of the local venues and make sure that we get all of those on the site displayed at all times!

Project Amarillo has always been here to help promote the live music and concert scene in the Amarillo area. But we don't restrict the listings to just the music events. If you have an event that you wish to announce that will be in or near Amarillo, we want to help you out!

I've received a lot of emails asking what's going on and if Project Amarillo is dead. It's been rough the last few months, and things have slowed to a crawl around here, but I still try to get all the events coming in posted on the calendar when they are sent in to me.
